Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Mark A. Palomares, a fixed-wing aircraft mechanic with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 115, directs an F/A-18C Hornet into position during Valiant Shield 16 at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Sept. 14, 2015. VS16 is a U.S.-only, biennial field training exercise (FTX) with a focus on integration of joint training among U.S. forces.
