PHILIPPINE SEA (Sept. 18, 2016) Military Sealift Command (MSC) dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Charles Drew (T-AKE 10) launches a BQM-74E target drone during Valiant Shield 2016 (VS16). VS16 is a biennial, U.S.-only, field training exercise (FTX) with a focus on integration of joint training among U.S. forces. This training enables real-world proficiency in sustaining joint forces through detecting, locating, tracking and engaging unity at sea, in the air, on land, and in cyberspace in response to a range of mission areas.
