CAMP NAVAJO, Arizona (Aug. 15, 2016) – Midshipman Candidates Madison Rawls and Catalina Mitchell with The University of Arizona Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps unit run with their legs tied together while carrying sandbags at the relay station during the joint New Student Orientation competition to score points for their team Aug. 15, 2016, at Camp Navajo, Arizona. Candidates were divided into six teams and rotated through six stations. The University of Arizona NROTC unit’s weeklong NSO training took place Aug. 12-19, with half combined in the Flagstaff area alongside freshman candidates from the University of New Mexico and Arizona State University NROTC units, and the second half at The University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona.
