FLAGSTAFF, Arizona (Aug. 15, 2016) – Shadows of a University of Arizona midshipman candidate from the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps unit casts a floating shadow 50 feet below as he uses ropes to traverse two high platforms Aug. 15, 2016, at the Northern Arizona University’s Challenge Course in Flagstaff, Arizona, as part of joint New Student Orientation training. The weeklong NSO training took place Aug. 12-19, with half combined in the Flagstaff area alongside freshman candidates from the University of New Mexico and Arizona State University NROTC units, and the second half at The University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona.
