FLAGSTAFF, Arizona (Aug. 14, 2016) -- Midshipman candidates from three regional Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps units perform the “dead man’s float” water survival portion of their basic swim qualification as others wait their Aug. 14, 2016, at the Northern Arizona University pool in Flagstaff, Arizona, as part of joint New Student Orientation training. The weeklong NSO training took place Aug. 12-19, with half combined in Flagstaff alongside freshman candidates from the University of New Mexico and Arizona State University NROTC units, and the second half at The University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona.
