160728-N-NF288-280 YOKOSUKA, Japan (July 28, 2016) Quartermaster 2nd Class (SW/AW) Kasani Brown, from Monroe, Louisiana, hangs flags on a line on the flight deck of the Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), for the Carrier Task Force 70 change of command. Hanging flags on the line is known as dressing the ship and involves attaching flags to a rope on the forward end of the ship leading to the top of the mast and down to the aft end of the ship. Ronald Reagan provides a combat-ready force, which protects and defends the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
