160626-N-VQ947-043 PHILIPPINE SEA (June 26, 2016) Bluejacket Association President Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Fuels) Airman (AW) Tori Orange, from Mobile, Alabama, cuts a slice of roast beef on the aft mess decks of the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). The Bluejacket Association worked with the 3&2 Association to hold a “mess decks take-over” event to boost morale on the ship. The mess decks take-over involved association members volunteering to work in the positions culinary specialists typically fill serving food. The USS Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group is on patrol in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
