160625-N-NF288-032 PHILIPPINE SEA (June 25, 2016) Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class (SW) Ashley Vasquez, from Lancaster, California, poses for a photograph while representing the Hospital Corpsman rating during a career fair in the aft mess decks aboard the Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). During the fair, Sailors learned about different rates in the Navy and the various programs available to them. “I feel really proud being a Corpsman,’ said Vasquez. “I waited a year in the delayed entry program to get this rate and I want to let people know there’s more to being a corpsman than giving shots and Motrin.” The USS Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group is on patrol in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
