Gary Peters delivers remarks to a crowd of 300 distinguished guests including a Korean War Medal of Honor recipient, elected officials, military officers, veterans, family, friends and members of the public during a ship naming ceremony at the GM Renaissance Center in Detroit on the international riverfront. Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV) Ray Mabus announced the Navy's newest Arleigh Burke class destroyer, DDG 120, was named Carl M. Levin in honor of the longest serving senator in Michigan history.
