Recruits of Alpha Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, rush to the next obstacle during the Bayonet Assault Course I event at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Feb. 10. Recruits were instructed to move quickly during the course to simulate maneuvering around dangerous environments during combat situations. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Alpha Company is scheduled to graduate April 22.
