Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve

An Iraqi soldier with the 72nd Iraqi Army Brigade calls out to his comrades for reinforcements during a combined arms breach training exercise (CABEX) at Besmaya Range Complex, Iraq, Jan. 24, 2016. The CABEX is designed to force Iraqi leaders to use multiple assets to accomplish a mission. The final assault into the building was only possible after Iraqi engineers cleared the obstacles surrounding the objective, validating the purpose of the CABEX. The Besmaya Range Complex is one of four Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve building partner capacity locations dedicated to training Iraqi Security Forces. This training is part of the overall Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve building partner capacity mission to increase the military capacity of Iraqi Security Forces fighting the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.
