Iraqi soldiers with the 72nd Iraqi Army Brigade dismount from the back of a light-medium tactical vehicle during a combined arms breach training exercise at Besmaya Range Complex, Iraq, Jan. 24, 2016. The soldiers were only able to move toward their objective once a safe route was cleared by Iraqi engineers. The exercise validated the brigade’s ability to incorporate multiple units in complimentary roles to achieve a mission. This training is part of the overall Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve building partner capacity mission to increase the military capacity of Iraqi Security Forces fighting the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.
