Spc. Markus Barker, a heavy equipment operator with the 91st Engineer Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, focuses on preparing a fighting position for Norwegian infantry during a joint live fire training exercise at Adazi Training Area, Latvia, on Nov. 13, 2014. These activities are part of the U.S. Army Europe-led Operation Atlantic Resolve land force assurance training exercise taking place across Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland to enhance multinational interoperability, strengthen relationships among allied militaries, contribute to regional stability and demonstrate U.S. commitment to NATO.
