Petty Officer 3rd Class Andre Spencer leans on an extension post of a jet blast deflector to lubricate the mechanism's gears on the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. Sailors in air department took advantage of a no-fly day on Ronald Reagan by performing maintenance on the flight deck and equipment. Ronald Reagan is currently deployed in the 5th Fleet/NAVCENT area of responsibilities. Operations in the NAVCENT area of operations are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
