Frank Medina, aviation boatswain's mate (equipment), helps stow a training barricade after flight deck drills aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. Sailors from the air department and Carrier Air Wing 14 work together to ensure flight deck drills are a successful evolution. Flight deck drills are a series of events that simulate what would happen should an aircraft have to crash land on the flight deck. Ronald Reagan is currently deployed in the 5th Fleet/NAVCENT area of responsibilities. Operations in the NAVCENT area of operations are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
