Sgt. Christopher Robbins, Company G, 1st Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, smiles for a photo as his ticket is finally selected allowing him to participate in the 16th Annual Randy Oler Operation Toy Drop, Dec. 6, 2013, at Pope Field, N.C. Robbins was the second man to stand in line for the lottery drawing. "Well I grew up in foster care, I had six different familes and I usually went to Salvation Army. If I had received something like this I would have been ecstatic; I want to give back," Robbins said. Winning ticket holders will join 4,000 other paratroopers participating in the operation over the next few days. Hosted by the U.S. Army Civil Affairs & Psychological Operations Command (Airborne), Operation Toy Drop is the largest combined airborne operation in the world with nine countries participating. The donated toys will be distributed to children's homes and social service in the local community. (U.S. Army photo by Staff Sgt. Sharilyn Wells/USACAPOC(A) PAO)
