Members of the Fort Bliss Garrison workforce are recognized as the night’s “American Heroes” by the El Paso Chihuahuas and local sponsors before a baseball game against the Round Rock Express in downtown El Paso, Texas, Aug. 20, 2026.
Since their inaugural season in 2014, the Chihuahuas, the Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres, have regularly partnered with Fort Bliss to host military appreciation nights and community events. Continuing this partnership, the team is scheduled to host a youth baseball camp with Fort Bliss Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Children and Youth Services on post, Sept. 5, 2026.
