Operation Vigilant Seahawk, a regional domestic operations and homeland security exercise, takes place at Ports in Eastern North Carolina from 13-22 June 2016. Over 500 North Carolina Guardsmen and Civilian Emergency Response Partners from local, state and federal agencies train together to test processes and abilities for readiness in the event of an actual emergency. This exercise is part of the North Carolina National Guard’s Ready, Responsive and Relevant Force’s commitment to serve and protect the lives and property of the state of North Carolina and the nation.
