PACIFIC MISSILE RANGE FACILITY, KEKAHA (September 11, 2026) - Fire Chief, Oric Kuapahi (left) speaks with Commanding Officer, Captain Robert Prince (right) at the 9/11 ceremony held at the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) fire station. PMRF Sailors stood alongside base personnel and the PMRF Fire Department today to honor the memory of those lost on Sept. 11, 2001, and to pay tribute to the courage and sacrifice of first responders. The ceremonial bell toll served as a solemn reminder of the lives lost, the bravery of those who responded, and the enduring promise to never forget. This brief ceremony was a welcome respite from hurricane recovery efforts and reflected the resilience, service, and unity that carry PMRF forward. PMRF is the world's largest instrumented multi-domain test and training range capable of supporting surface, subsurface, air, and space operations simultaneously.
