A U.S. Navy personnel member in NWU (Navy Working Uniform) camouflage is ringing a brass bell mounted on a white rope-wrapped post during a formal ceremony at a fire station. A formation of military personnel in matching uniforms stands at attention in the background, with fire trucks visible inside the bay. The signage on the fire truck reads 'PMRF Fire Department,' indicating this is at Pacific Missile Range Facility.

PACIFIC MISSILE RANGE FACILITY, KEKAHA (September 11, 2026) - Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) Sailors stood alongside base personnel and the PMRF Fire Department today to honor the memory of those lost on Sept. 11, 2001, and to pay tribute to the courage and sacrifice of first responders. The ceremonial bell toll served as a solemn reminder of the lives lost, the bravery of those who responded, and the enduring promise to never forget. This brief ceremony was a welcome respite from hurricane recovery efforts and reflected the resilience, service, and unity that carry PMRF forward. PMRF is the world's largest instrumented multi-domain test and training range capable of supporting surface, subsurface, air, and space operations simultaneously.
