U.S. Army Spc. RaNiya Corbin, a correction and detention specialist assigned to the 603rd Military Police Company, 109th Military Police Battalion, assesses a simulated casualty during a medical evacuation exercise as a part of the Dark Knight competition held at Ādaži Military Base, Latvia, Sept. 9, 2026. The event required Soldiers to balance speed and attention to detail, ensuring critical information was documented while the squad continued working toward evacuating the simulated casualty. V Corps is the U.S. Army's only forward-deployed corps, serving as the senior tactical headquarters for Army forces in Eastern Europe to deter conflict and provide combat-ready forces alongside our NATO Allies. V Corps is operationalizing and expanding the Eastern Flank Deterrence Initiative with Allies, rapidly integrating emerging technologies into training and tactical plans. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt.
