    U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 603rd Military Police Company plan their next movement during a medical evacuation exercise as a part of the Dark Knight competition held at Ādaži Military Base, Latvia, Sept. 9, 2026. The competition tests more than individual performance, requiring Soldiers to communicate, adapt and rely on one another as they work toward becoming the company’s best squad. V Corps is the U.S. Army's only forward-deployed corps, serving as the senior tactical headquarters for Army forces in Eastern Europe to deter conflict and provide combat-ready forces alongside our NATO Allies.
