A large gray naval warship, consistent with a US Navy amphibious transport dock (LPD-class), is underway on open ocean under overcast skies. Two smaller civilian or patrol vessels are visible in the foreground, significantly smaller in scale compared to the warship. The scene appears to be a maritime operation or transit in open blue-gray waters.

U.S. Navy San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS San Antonio (LPD 17), back, sails underway in the Pacific Ocean while U.S. Marines with Maritime Raid Force, Littoral Combat Force-24, conduct a Maritime Interdiction Operation Sept. 08, 2026. The vessel of interest was boarded and cleared before being destroyed. U.S. military forces are deployed to the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility in support of Joint Task Force Western Hemisphere, Department of War-directed operations, and the President's priorities to disrupt illicit drug trafficking, deter malign actors and protect the homeland through continuous presence.
