An aerial photograph shows two vessels on open water, with a larger white cabin cruiser or passenger vessel on the left and a smaller, darker rigid inflatable boat (RIB) or patrol craft on the right. Both vessels appear to be underway, moving in the same general direction with visible wake trails behind them. The image was taken from a significant altitude, suggesting it was captured from an aircraft or elevated vantage point.

U.S. Marines and Sailors with Maritime Raid Force, Littoral Combat Force-24, and Sailors with San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS San Antonio (LPD 17), make movement on a rigid-hull inflatable boat during a Maritime Interdiction Operation while in the Pacific Ocean, Sept. 08, 2026. The vessel of interest was boarded and cleared before being destroyed. U.S. military forces are deployed to the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility in support of Joint Task Force Western Hemisphere, Department of War-directed operations, and the President's priorities to disrupt illicit drug trafficking, deter malign actors and protect the homeland through continuous presence.
