An aerial photograph shows a white and blue fishing vessel named 'Manta, Ecuador' being approached or intercepted by a rigid inflatable boat (RIB) carrying several personnel in dark tactical gear. The scene appears to be a maritime law enforcement or interdiction operation taking place in open ocean waters. The turbulent wake and churning water suggest both vessels are in motion.

U.S. Marines with Maritime Raid Force, Littoral Combat Force-24, search and seize a vessel of interest during a Maritime Interdiction Operation Sept. 08, 2026. The vessel of interest was boarded and cleared before being destroyed. U.S. military forces are deployed to the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility in support of Joint Task Force Western Hemisphere, Department of War-directed operations, and the President's priorities to disrupt illicit drug trafficking, deter malign actors and protect the homeland through continuous presence.
