A smiling soldier in full combat uniform and tactical gear walks along a paved path or sidewalk adjacent to a road, giving a thumbs-up gesture. The setting appears to be a military installation with open grassy fields, a perimeter fence, and tree lines in the background. Orange spray-painted markings are visible on the pavement, suggesting a ruck march or physical training event.

On Saturday, August 29, 2026, U.S. Army Reserve Command hosted the Danish Flyver Ruck March at Fort Bragg. Ninety-four Soldiers from seven units across the Fort Bragg community took on the 12.4-mile course carrying 25-pound rucks.

Participating units included USARC, USACAPOC(A), XVIII Airborne Corps, the 82nd Airborne Division, the 192nd Ordnance Battalion, USASOC and USAWHC.

More than a test of endurance, the march strengthened teamwork across the installation and gave participants the opportunity to earn the Danish Flyver March Ribbon and Medal. Every mile and every pound helped build a stronger, more connected Fort Bragg community.
