A female U.S. Army soldier in full OCP (Operational Camouflage Pattern) uniform is walking along a paved road while smiling and giving a thumbs-up gesture. She is carrying a military rucksack on her back and holding a water bottle, suggesting she is participating in a ruck march or physical training event. The setting appears to be a military installation during early morning or evening hours.

On Saturday, August 29, 2026, U.S. Army Reserve Command hosted the Danish Flyver Ruck March at Fort Bragg. Ninety-four Soldiers from seven units across the Fort Bragg community took on the 12.4-mile course carrying 25-pound rucks.

Participating units included USARC, USACAPOC(A), XVIII Airborne Corps, the 82nd Airborne Division, the 192nd Ordnance Battalion, USASOC and USAWHC.

More than a test of endurance, the march strengthened teamwork across the installation and gave participants the opportunity to earn the Danish Flyver March Ribbon and Medal. Every mile and every pound helped build a stronger, more connected Fort Bragg community.
