    NAVAL AIR FACILITY ATSUGI, Japan (Aug. 20, 2026) Capt. Jeff Schwab, prospective commanding officer of Naval Air Facility (NAF) Atsugi, arrives at the NAF Atsugi 35th Change of Command ceremony held onboard the installation Aug. 20. During the ceremony, Schwab relieved Capt. Nicholas Leclerc as the Naval Air Facility Atsugi commanding officer. NAF Atsugi supports the combat readiness of Commander, Fleet Air Western Pacific, Commander, Carrier Air Wing FIVE (CVW) 5, Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 51 and 23 other tenant commands, and provides logistic support, coordination, and services to units assigned to the Western Pacific.
