    PORTSMOUTH, Va. (Aug. 21, 2026) Capt. Justin Lafreniere, executive officer, Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) Portsmouth, presents a certificate to Lt. Lindsey Lyerly, assigned to NMRTC Portsmouth, during a Pastoral Care Residency (PCR) award ceremony in the Chapel of Comfort at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP), Aug. 21, 2026. Four chaplains were awarded graduation certificates for the PCR program, which is a full-time, immersive, year-long assignment that occurs over a period of four quarters.
