The Code 990 Temporary Services Shop provides critical temporary utility services—including electrical power, water, air, and steam—to Navy vessels during maintenance availabilities to ensure continuous operations and shipboard habitability. T500 shore power cables deliver electrical power from the pier or dry dock to the vessel, allowing the ship's onboard generators to be shut down for maintenance. PHNSY & IMF’s mission is to keep the Navy’s fleet “Fit to Fight" by repairing, maintaining, and modernizing the Navy's fast-attack submarines and surface ships. Strategically located in the heart of the Pacific, it is the most comprehensive fleet repair and maintenance facility between the U.S. West Coast and the Far East.
