A formal military ceremony is taking place outdoors at what appears to be a military installation, with soldiers in Army Combat Uniforms (ACU/OCP pattern) holding an unfurled American flag. Attendees including civilians and military personnel are seated facing a podium where a soldier appears to be speaking or presiding over the event. The backdrop includes red brick buildings and a mountainous landscape, suggesting a western U.S. military post.

One of the final flags to fly over Fort Douglas, Utah, is displayed to a crowd of former Fort Douglas soldiers, community leaders and distinguished visitors during a closing ceremony on Aug. 8, 2026, in which the final 50 acres of the fort were transferred to the University of Utah. The transfer was part of a partnership among the U.S. Army Reserve, the University of Utah, the state of Utah and the Utah National Guard that resulted in a new state-of-the-art U.S. Army Reserve facility at Camp Williams, Utah.
