The six USS Nantucket Sailors traveled from the ship’s homeport of Mayport, Florida, to Nantucket for a namesake visit. The visit provided an opportunity for the Sailors to engage with the local community and strengthen the enduring relationship between USS Nantucket and the island for which the ship is named.
