YOKOSUKA, Japan (July 14, 2026) – A firefighter demonstrates the proper steps for donning firefighting personal protective equipment while Fire Training Chief Blake Wayne discusses the daily responsibilities of a first responder with students during the Teen Career Showcase at Fleet Activities Yokosuka Fire Department. The showcase, hosted by Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY) Child and Youth Programs, gives base teenagers a look at civilian and military career tracks on the installation. CFAY provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, 71 tenant commands, and more than 27,000 military and civilian personnel and their families.
