U.S. Army Soldiers, assigned to the Joint Task Force-Southern Border in support of Operation Ardent Vanguard, assist with moving equipment off a U.S. Army CH-47 Chinook helicopter for a telecommunication network system during Operation Muleskinner Trailblazer III in Big Bend Sector, Texas, June 30, 2026. The operation assisted U.S. Border Patrol in improving their communication across the joint operations area. U.S. Northern Command is working side-by-side with the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection within narrowly defined authorities to provide unique military capabilities to protect the territorial integrity of the U.S. southern border.
