U.S. Army Soldiers, assigned to the Joint Task Force-Southern Border, in support of Operation Ardent Vanguard, transport telecommunication network system equipment in Big Bend Sector, Texas, during Operation Muleskinner Trailblazer III, June 30, 2026. This equipment assists U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) communication capabilities in austere environments enabling USBP and service members to accomplish their joint missions. U.S. Northern Command is working side-by-side with the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection within narrowly defined authorities to provide unique military capabilities to protect the territorial integrity of the U.S. southern border.
