Whiterock, Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, receives the 2025 MHS Enlisted Leadership Excellence Award for vanguard non-commissioned officer at the 2026 Military Health System Conference in Dallas, Texas, May 28. Dr. Stephen Ferrara, former principal deputy assistant secretary of war for health affairs, and Air Force Chief Master Sgt. James Woods, senior enlisted advisor to the U.S. Air Force surgeon general, presented the award.
