Doug Laycock and Airman Basic Peter Mooney, avionics specialists assigned to the Ohio National Guard’s 180th Fighter Wing, conduct an avionics test on an F-16 Fighting Falcon alongside evaluators, during Checkered Flag 26-2 and Weapons System Evaluation Program-East at Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla., April 28, 2026. The 180FW took part in WSEP-East 26.04, a formal evaluation conducted by the 53rd Weapons Evaluation Group, allowing Airmen to execute live-fire exercises while experiencing real-world air-to-air combat in a training environment.
