U.S. Air Force pararescuemen assigned to the 31st Rescue Squadron jump from an HC-130J Combat King II aircraft during a training overwater personnel recovery operation at Lake Mead, Nevada, April 24, 2026. The 31st Rescue Squadron trains, equips and employs elite Guardian Angel forces, including pararescuemen and combat rescue officers, to conduct combat search and rescue and personnel recovery, providing combatant commanders with options to report, locate, recover and reintegrate isolated personnel.
