U.S. Army Sgt. Tahze Vaughan, 751st Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 59th Troop Command, South Carolina National Guard performs medical tasks during the Region III Best Warrior Competition at the North Carolina National Guard Camp Butner Training Center in Stem, North Carolina, April 28, 2026. The BWC is a multi-day event organized in state, regional, and national phases to promote excellence and resiliency within the National Guard. Throughout the event, participants are challenged mentally and physically in critical areas encompassing individual combat skills and doctrinal knowledge.
