260312-N-AT886-1056 PENSACOLA, Fla. (March 12, 2026) Lt. Ashley Chapman, registered nurse, assigned to Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) Pensacola, inserts an intubation tube in a training Manikin’s mouth during an Advance Life Support (ALS) class at Naval Hospital Pensacola (NHP) on March 12, 2026. As a NHP ALS instructor Lt. Chapman demonstrated how to properly exercise endotracheal intubation which is a procedure that maintains a patient’s airway ensuring oxygen reaches vital organs. She educated fellow Sailors and contributed to clinical and combat readiness as the procedure can be lifesaving in emergency situations from the clinic to the field.
