    260312-N-AT886-1024 PENSACOLA, Fla. (March 12, 2026) Hospitalman Karina Sadivar, is guided in the practice of endotracheal intubation by Lt. Ashley Chapman, a registered nurse, assigned to Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) Pensacola, with the support of Lt. Cmdr. Matthew Lindsey, the Residency in Aerospace Medicine Associate Program Director assigned to Naval Medical Operational Training Command during an Advance Life Support (ALS) class at Naval Hospital Pensacola (NHP) on March 12, 2026. Endotracheal intubation is a procedure taught in the ALS class at NHP that involves inserting a tube into the trachea to maintain an open air way and oxygen is delivered via a ventilator ensuring a casualty can receive oxygen which allows for operational and medical readiness by enabling life-stabilization in combat and clinical environments.
