250801-N-OV429-1003: NEWPORT, RI (August 1, 2025). Information Systems Technician Second Class Steven Rojas presented the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal by Capt. Rona Green, Commanding Officer, Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command New England during awards quarters, Aug. 1, 2025. Information Systems Technician Second Class Rojas served as Leading Pety Officer of the Information Management Department from August 2023 to August 2025. Petty Officer Rojas led two sailors accounting for 1,355 electronic devices valued at 2.3 million dollars, directly supporting medical and technological readiness within the command. During the 2025 network upgrades, he supervised 12 civilians instralling 127 routers across four sites enhancing network connectivity and reliability. As Second-Class Petty Officer Association Treasurer, he managed a 3100 dollar budget and led 17 sailors during four fundraisers promoting camaraderie and boosting morale. Petty Officer Rojas' exceptional professionalism, unrelenting perseverance, and dedication to duty reflected credit on him and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service.
