Marine Cpl. Aaron C. Eldridge, assigned to Combat Logistics Regiment 3's Burma humanitarian assistance/disaster relief team, said he had no problems moving from an exercise to a real world operation. "That's what we're here to do, change jobs on the fly and be professional about it," Eldridge said. "I love it. It's what brings me out here every day, doing my job, is knowing that I'm a part of the effort out (in Burma)." Eldridge and other CLR-3 Marines, already deployed to Thailand for Exercise Cobra Gold 2008, shifted their efforts to relief operations after Cyclone Nargis struck Burma, May 2, killing and displacing thousands of people. Eldridge, 20, is a Kirtland, N.M. native, who graduated from Kirtland Central High School in 2005.
