Katherine Cloud, Fort Towson elementary school teacher, and Alicia Brents, leader of the Fort Towson 4-H club score submissions in the forestry judging competition near Broken Bow Lake April 9, 2025. Tulsa District USACE employees worked the event in partnership with local 4-H organizations, the Oklahoma State Parks system, Oklahoma Forestry Services, the Oklahoma Conservation Commission, the Oklahoma Forestry Association, Eastern Oklahoma State College, and the local Resource Conservation and Development Council.

Students were evaluated on insect identification, tree identification, compass and pacing, and forest evaluation. They also developed a simple management plan based on criteria provided for the area. (Official U.S. Army Corps of Engineers photo by Stacey Reese/released)
