Local 4-H students participate in the site evaluation portion of the forestry competition near Broken Bow Lake, Oklahoma, April 9, 2025. Tulsa District Forester Reilly Cloud was one of the Tulsa District USACE employees who helped facilitate the event in partnership with local 4-H organizations, the Oklahoma State Parks system, Oklahoma Forestry Services, Oklahoma Forestry Association, the Oklahoma Conservation Commission, Eastern Oklahoma State College, and the Ouachita Mountain Resource Conservation and Development Council.

Students were evaluated on insect identification, tree identification, compass and pacing, and forest evaluation. They also developed a simple management plan based on criteria provided for the area. (Official U.S. Army Corps of Engineers photo by Stacey Reese/released)
