A great blue heron stands on the banks of one of the many lakes in Orlando, Fla. Through a post in the "iNaturalist," a citizen science app, Federal and State Biologists dedicated to invasive species management realized that the invasive swamp eel was migrating north in Florida. "iNaturalist" users began documenting the eels in the Myakka River State Park. All this is to highlight the work of citizen scientists. (U.S. Army photo by Brigida I. Sanchez)
