Forceps are one of many instruments used in the autopsy process at the U.S. Army Regional Mortuary for Europe and Africa, Landstuhl Kaserne, Germany. U.S. Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Karen Monda-Gresham, the deputy commanding general for the 21st Theater Sustainment Command and commanding general for the 7th Mission Support Command and the 7th MSC's senior enlisted advisor, Command Sgt. Maj. Shahpour Eskandary, visit the facility, Friday, Jul. 21, 2024.
As DCG, part of Monday-Gresham's role is to advocate for the units, increasing mission capability. The Regional Mortuary for Europe and Africa supports three combatant commands: U.S. Army European Command, U.S. Army Africa Command, and U.S. Army Central Command, making theirs the largest area of responsibility of any Army mortuary, with the largest case load outside of Dover Air Force Base, the primary mortuary for the Department of Defense and serves as the template for all other Armed Forces Mortuaries.
