U.S. Army Sgt. Tyesha Sosa, a unit supply specialist assigned to the 436th Movement Control Battalion, and Spc. Shakira Green, a human resources specialist assigned to the 529th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, participates in a St. Patrick’s Day community event for at a local school in Powidz, Poland, on March 19, 2024. During the visit, the Soldiers exchanged stories of why they joined the military and what life in the military is like. The students practiced English language skills while hosting the U.S. Soldiers. The U.S. Army Soldiers are deployed as part of a rotation of forces to Poland to support multinational training and operations, enhance interoperability and contingency response capabilities with allies and partners, and deter adversaries in the European theater.
