U.S. Army Pvt. Cocoa Blackwood and Pfc. Isis Tupaz, both human resources specialists assigned to the 3rd Division Sustainment Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, currently deployed to Powidz, Poland, made soap during a St. Patrick’s Day community event at a local school in Powidz on March 19, 2024. Throughout the visit, the Soldiers exchanged stories of why they joined the military and what life in the military is like. The students practiced English language skills while hosting the U.S. Soldiers. The U.S. Army Soldiers participated in activities with the children. The Soldiers are deployed as part of a rotation of forces to Poland to support multinational training and operations, enhance interoperability and contingency response capabilities with allies and partners, and deter adversaries in the European theater.
