U.S. Army Soldiers currently deployed to Powidz, Poland, pose for a photo while attending a St. Patrick’s Day community event at a local school in Powidz on March 19, 2024. The Soldiers made soap and played with the children. Throughout the visit, the Soldiers exchanged stories of why they joined the military and what life in the military is like. The students practiced English language skills while hosting the U.S. Soldiers. The Soldiers are deployed as part of a rotation of forces to Poland to support multinational training and operations, enhance interoperability and contingency response capabilities with allies and partners, and deter adversaries in the European theater.
